A bit about me...

Hi, I’m Lucy

​

My love for fitness began in 2012 when I moved to New Zealand. I’d always enjoyed going to the gym and trying different classes, but everything changed when I joined the original Les Mills gym in Auckland. The energy, the atmosphere, and the way the classes made me feel — happy, strong, empowered — completely hooked me. The physical changes were a bonus, but it was the confidence and energy I gained that truly inspired me.

When I returned to the UK in 2014, I knew I wanted to help others experience that same feeling. I qualified as a Level 2 Exercise to Music Instructor and began running my own local classes. What started as a side project quickly grew, and I made the leap from a fast-paced sales career into the fitness industry full time — a decision I’ve never looked back on.

Since then, I’ve continued to expand my knowledge and skills, qualifying as a Level 3 Personal Trainer, Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor, a 200-hour Yoga Teacher, and more recently, a Sports Massage Therapist. Each qualification has deepened my understanding of the body and strengthened the way I support my clients.

After several years of teaching in gyms and running private classes, I opened my own studio — a space that grew to offer over 30 classes a week across a wide range of disciplines. While the pandemic brought significant challenges, it also created space to reflect, evolve, and refocus.

​

During that period of reflection, I took a leap of faith and bought a beautiful old house in the mountains of Andalucía. Over the next two and a half years, I lovingly renovated it to create my ideal space for hosting retreats — and a place for others to enjoy stepping away from everyday life to rest, move, and reconnect. Most recently, I completed an Education and Training qualification and launched Fresh Fitness Training Academy, allowing me to train and mentor others to become instructors themselves — starting with Mat Pilates. Teaching teachers feels like a natural next step, combining my passion for movement with a commitment to raising standards within the industry.

My mission remains the same as it’s always been: to help create happier, healthier, and more confident people — now not just through my own classes, but through the next generation of fitness professionals too.
